Interview mit Maria Trénor

AVIVA-BERLIN: How do you feel. You've won the Teddy for the Best Short Film.
Maria Trénor: I feel very happy of course bringing to Spain an important hour for Berlin. I feel very thankful to the lesbian and gay community who gave the money for the prizes and who made the very big effort to go on with the event.

AVIVA-BERLIN: Did you enjoy the Teddy Gala?
Maria Trénor: I think it was great. I was looking forward to the Teddy Party because it's the coolest party in the festival.

AVIVA-BERLIN: Is this your first time to Berlin?
Maria Trénor: No, it's my third time. I came in 1989. The wall was still standing. I love Berlin. I think it's a very open-minded and relaxed city.

AVIVA-BERLIN: Have you had a chance to see some of the films in the festival?
Maria Trénor: I've seen some short films. I prefer short films. I like it when people tell a story with emotions in a short time.

AVIVA-BERLIN: And is this the first short film you've made?
Maria Trénor: Yes.

AVIVA-BERLIN: It's a beautiful first film. Can you tell us something about your next project?
Maria Trénor: I'm preparing for my next short film but I never speak about a new project because I'm afraid in case it won't happen.

AVIVA-BERLIN: One last question. Is there a particular book you own that you would never ever lend to someone?
Maria Trénor: I think that people are more important than books, art and everything, so I would give someone any of my books that they would like to borrow.

AVIVA-BERLIN: We wish you the very best for your next project. Thank you!
