EUWIIN will shine the spotlight on female role models, celebrating women´s creativity and innovation on 10 –11 March, 2008 in Cardiff City Hall, Wales

The European Union Women Inventors & Innovators Network (EUWIIN) is staging a special two-day event at the Cardiff City Hall in Wales to celebrate and raise awareness of the strategic & economic significance of EUWIIN´s mission to seek effective ways of bridging the gaps that hamper gender diversity and the progress of women´s innovation in Europe. It will focus on taking stock of the European Commission´s framework programme for Innovation and Technology.
The event will be an excellent forum and meeting place for inventors, scientists, professionals and journalists across Europe and the international world providing opportunities to explore innovative good practice.
In addition to this occasion, the Global Women Inventors & Innovators Network (GWIIN) celebrates ten years of incubating innovation and growth at the British Female Inventors & Innovators Network (BFIIN) conference, exhibition and Awards Ceremony. This will provide an opportunity to exhibit and participate in the activities and at the BFIIN Awards Gala Dinner and Celebration.

The programme includes:
The Showcase – 10 March 2008: 9.30 am – 4.30 pm
An opportunity to participate by exhibiting or viewing many of the displays and services of innovation from various backgrounds – from scientists to engineers working on patented inventions to women with no previous research and development experience.
Entertainment & Special Features – 10 March 2008: 19:00 – 21:30
A spectacular evening showing the eco-friendly work of fashion designers who have used recycled materials and eco-friendly dyes to create extremely trendy designs.
Conference - 11 March 2008: 9.30 am – 4.30 pm
A knowledge exchange platform focusing primarily on relevant issues relating to intellectual property rights, growing enterprises, new emerging markets and energy efficiency.
BFIIN Awards Ceremony - 11 March 2008: 18.30 pm – 22.30 pm
